Obertraun - Bad Ischl – Traunkirchen (22 km)
From Obertraun, return to Bad Ischl on the same route. In Bad Ischl, the heart of beautiful Salzkammergut Lake District, take B 145 Road northwards beside the Traun River towards Gmunden, passing Ebensee and Feuerkogel Mountain en route. After Ebensee, drive through Sonnstein Tunnels and turn right at Siegesbach (do not take the bypass tunnel). The right fork will take you to the historic center of Traunkirchen, located on a lovely peninsula at the western shores of Traunsee Lake and rated one of the most picturesque places in the Salzkammergut Lake District.
