Stretching from Salzburg to Vienna and passing through the Austrian Provinces of Salzburg, Upper Austria and Lower Austria, the “Austrian Romantic Road” is a great alternative to the autobahn. Driving along this scenic route of castles and ruins, baroque abbeys and monasteries, museums, zoos, caves, lakes and rivers, is an incredible way to experience the unique countryside. From the rugged peaks of Salzkammergut Lake District over lower Mühlviertel and Struden and Nibelungengau to the gently rolling hills of Wachau and Danube Valley to Austria’s splendid capital Vienna, deeply steeped in history: Along the way you will explore the most beautiful and most romantic spots of the country…
Arrangement:
